BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 15. The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 33.6 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the report, the balance of bank loans amounted to 48.2 quadrillion rials (about $1.15 trillion) in 8 months.

The largest loan balance was recorded in Tehran Province at 28.5 quadrillion rials (about $680 billion), while the least - in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province at 185 trillion rials (about $4.4 billion).

Within 8 months, the balance of deposits also increased by 32 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, the balance of bank deposits in Iran amounted to 65.3 quadrillion rials (about $1.56 trillion) within the mentioned period.

The largest deposit balance was in Tehran Province at about 34.7 quadrillion rials (about $825 billion), while the least in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province at about 181 trillion rials (about $4.3 billion).
