ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 5. The combined funds in settlement, current accounts, and deposits held by enterprises, organizations, and the population in Turkmenistan's banks as of October 1 of this year reached 40.99 billion Turkmen manat, equivalent to $11.73 billion, Trend reports.
The Central Bank of Turkmenistan reports that these data are 11.2 percent higher than the same date last year (36.86 billion Turkmen manat, or $10.55 billion).
State-owned enterprise and organization finances accounted for 27.77 billion Turkmen manat ($7.95 billion), or 26.8 percent more than on October 1 last year (21.9 billion Turkmen manat, or $6.27 billion).
At the same time, funds from corporations, non-governmental organizations, and the population accounted for 13.21 billion Turkmen manat ($3.78 billion), an 11.7 percent decrease from the same date in 2022 (14.96 billion Turkmen manat or $4.28 billion).
Furthermore, the funds of individuals and entrepreneurs without the formation of a legal entity in the banks of Turkmenistan amounted to 3.98 billion Turkmen manat ($1.14 billion), which is 17.7 percent less than on October 1 last year (4.84 billion Turkmen manat or $1.39 billion).
Simultaneously, the banking sector in Turkmenistan is undergoing dynamic development, involving collaboration between both commercial and state-owned banks.
