Microsoft launches IT Academy program in two education institutions

Microsoft's office in Azerbaijan launched realization of Microsoft IT Academy program in Baku Computer College and Azerbaijan State Economic University, Microsoft Azerbaijan manager on partnership projects in education, Emin Akhundov, told Trend .
According to Akhundov, the program, implemented jointly with the Ministry of Education, is designed for higher education institutions and secondary schools and envisages having intermediate exams to get Microsoft Certified Professional degree.
Microsoft Office Specialist and IT Professional are offered for schools and universities within Microsoft IT Academy program.
IT Professional offers initial professional preparation of specialists on technical support of table and handheld PCs, administration of computer systems, networks and data base, designing of applications and data bases in different spheres.
Microsoft Office Specialist is envisaged for secondary schools.
Designing of business-documents (CV, forms, applications, etc.) is expected to be taught besides study of Microsoft Office users' applications within these courses.
According to Akhundov, project Microsoft IT Academy will cover private universities and schools in future.
