During the to Tashkent the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov, discussed the opportunities for construction of the fiber-optic cable Almaty-Baku via the Caspian. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told Trend the discussions were held with the chairman of the State Agency for Communications and Information of Kazakhstan, Asker Jumaguliyev. The proposal was approved with pleasure and it was decided to carry out set of measures in this direction.
During the meeting with Uzbek Vice Premier, Abdullah Aripov, the Azerbaijani Minister discussed opportunities for transmission of the Azerbaijani channel through satellite to Uzbekistan. Aripov promised positive resolution of the issue in case the Azerbaijani government submits official appeal.
