BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. Informational tours are organized for members of the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA) to familiarize them with tourist routes and products in various regions of the country with the aim of developing regional tourism, the association told Trend.

The ATAA also said that B2B (business-to-business) meetings are conducted with partner companies and organizations to facilitate the sale of these services in both local and international markets.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the association conducted approximately 100 meetings with government institutions and private organizations focused on tourism. The association's main goals include raising the number of foreign tourists visiting Azerbaijan and supporting the creation of new tourism products.

The ATAA noted that close cooperation is taking place in this direction with the State Tourism Agency, foreign ambassadors in Azerbaijan, and domestic and international airlines.

"In the list of regions most active in terms of tourism development, we can mention such districts as Guba, Gusar, Shamakhi, Gabala, Shaki, Gakh, Lankaran, Astara, and Lerik, as well as the city of Ganja," added the association.

The ATAA, which has been operating as a state institution since 2019, is actively working to develop the tourism sector, promote Azerbaijan as a tourist destination in foreign countries, and form competitive tourism services both in the domestic and foreign markets.
