Russian airline company denied permission on some flights to Uzbekistan

Russia’s IrAero Airlines company denied access to implementation of direct flights between Russia’s Omsk city and Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency.

As reported earlier, the company was planning to operate flights on the Omsk – Tashkent route once a week.

According to the agency, the company was granted access for implementation of the flights to Uzbekistan on the following routes: Saint Petersburg – Nukus, Krasnoyarsk – Qarshi, Krasnodar – Qarshi, and Mineralnye Vody – Tashkent (two flights a week each).

In Dec. 2019, the company launched flights on the Moscow-Andijan-Moscow route.

JSC Airline "IrAero" founded in 1999 is one of the top 20 largest airlines in Russia. The activities of IrAero fully comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards.

As was reported earlier, Uzbekistan Airports JSC in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and the State Committee for the Development of Tourism of Uzbekistan will continue to work to increase the number of flights to the country's airports and expand the geography of flights. The work aims to implement the tasks set by the government to attract more foreign tourists to Uzbekistan.
