BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 3.55 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, more than 5.77 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 12th month. Of this, about 2.94 million tons were loaded and 2.83 million tons were unloaded.
Meanwhile, in the 11th month, a total of 5.99 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee port.
About 2.56 million tons of cargo were exported, while 953,000 tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the 12th month.
Also, 150,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 339,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit for the reporting month.
According to the statistics, 88,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.36 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the 12th month.
In the 12th month, over 129,000 tons of cargo were loaded and about 149,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 3,600 tons of cargo were loaded, and 30,100 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Thus, about 320,000 tons of essential products, 696,000 tons of metal products, 762,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,350 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 12th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, about 130,000 tons of chemicals, 4,420 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 2,800 tons of small and assorted products, 1.78 million tons of container products, 2.08 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month preceding the Iranian year.
