BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 7.75 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 423,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 203,000 tons were loaded and about 220,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 7th month, about 192,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 68,500 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 798 tons of cargo were loaded and 10 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

At the same time, 7,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 151,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 7th month.

Furthermore, 3,100 tons of cargo were loaded and 66 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.

Some 12,800 tons of essential products, 696 tons of metal products, 169,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 5,980 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 331 tons of chemicals, 2,580 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 54,200 tons of container products, and about 177,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
