BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 10.01 billion tenge ($1.4 million) from January through October 2022, which is 40.2 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in October 2022 amounted to 1.2 billion tenge ($2.5 million), which is 9.3 percent less than during the same month of 2021.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 19,370 tons, which is 30.4 percent less compared to the same period of last year. The volume of cargo transported in October 2022 was 2,110 tons, which is 24.4 percent less than during the same month last year.

Cargo turnover amounted 43.4 million ton-kilometers which is 29.9 percent less than during the same period of last year.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 475.1 billion tenge ($1.01 billion) from January through October 2022, which is 37 percent more than during the same period of last year. October revenue from passenger transportation was 62.3 billion tenge ($133.4 million), which is 61 percent more than in October 2021.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 8.9 million people, which is 15.8 percent more than during the same period of last year (1.03 million passengers in October 2022, up by 16.9 percent).

The passenger turnover amounted to 16.2 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 32.3 percent. The October passenger turnover was 1.8 billion (33.1 percent more year-on-year).
