Kazakhstan said on Monday that one more person had been rescued from Sunday's fire at a drug addiction clinic, reducing the death toll to 37, Reuters reported.
The government is investigating the cause of the fire, which has highlighted the state of the Central Asian country's crumbling Soviet-era infrastructure.
The clinic is one of many state-run institutions offering treatment to drug addicts in Kazakhstan, which lies on the main drug trafficking route from Afghanistan to Western Europe.
