Voting in elections to the Majilis and maslikhats is actively and in a relaxed atmosphere, said today Secretary of the Central Election Commission Bakhyt Meldeshov.
"At 6 am local time on the opening of polling stations. Voting began with a 7:00 and will take up to 20 hours on 15 January. In 4 of the Western regions of the country voting will end at 21:00 Astana time. Total voting polling place 9764" - said B. Meldeshov.
According to him, the CEC will provide the media, international observers, political parties and public associations of all the current information about the election every 2 hours during the briefings.
It will also provide information on the turnout.
The special election of the deputies and regular deputies maslikhat CEC accredited 819 international observers, besides the MFA 155 accredited foreign media.
For seats in the lower house of parliament fought seven political parties: People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan" party "Adilet", "Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan", "National Social Democratic Party" (NSDP), the party "Ak Jol", "Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan, "Kazakhstan Social and Democratic Party" Aul ".
