"Korgau Anti-Terror 2013" exercises are being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan's National Security Committee told on Tuesday.
"Today, as part of efforts to ensure the security of the 28th World winter Universiade-2017, the Almaty city operations center held the 2013 Korgau Anti-Terror drills", the report said.
According to the committee, during the exercises, issues of interactions between the territorial divisions of the National Security Committee, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Presidential Security Service, the Ministry of Defence and the akimat (city hall) of Almaty.
"The Almaty city operations center to combat terrorism held six exercises in 2013 at locations vulnerable to terrorism," the committee said.
