BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. The value of trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the EAEU countries amounted to $12.6 billion from January through June 2022, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of Kazakhstan.

During this period, exports of goods from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries amounted to $3.7 billion, while imports - $8.8 billion.

In the total volume of trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the EAEU countries, Russia takes a large share - 92.6 percent, followed by Kyrgyzstan - 3.9 percent, Belarus - 3.4 percent and Armenia - 0.1 percent.

The largest increase in exports with the EAEU countries is observed for artificial corundum (aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide), which increased by 2.9 times compared to the same period last year. At the same time, a decrease is observed in iron ores and concentrates, including burnt pyrite.

In imports, the largest increase was noted for sunflower seeds, which is an increase of 12.4 times. At the same time, a decrease is observed in imports of passenger cars and other motor vehicles.
