BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 3. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy national company (Kazakhstan Railways) reached a record-breaking figures in cargo turnover in company's history, exceeding the mark of 252 billion net ton-kilometers in 2022, Trend reports, citing KTZ.
Due to changes in logistics, an increase in the range of transportation and an increase in exports of mining and metallurgical products, this index increased by 5.2 percent, compared to 2021 figures, and, at the same time, doubled over the last 20 years.
Meanwhile, over 250 million tons of cargo were transported via the KTZ network in 2022.Coal loadings amounted to 106.6 million tons, which is an increase of 600,000 tons, compared to 2021, at the same time, 70 million tons of coal were delivered to Kazakhstan.
According to KTZ, every day, together with the akimats (municipalities) of the regions, solid fuel residues are monitored, coal reserves are available in the regions. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of all participants in the transportation process, there are no complaints.
