BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Moldova is ready to advance partnership in the energy sector with Kazakhstan, Energy Minister of Moldova Victor Parlicov said during a meeting with Kazakh Ambassador to the country Almat Aidarbekov, Trend reports via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
During a meeting, a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including in the field of energy, were discussed.
Both parties gave special attention to the progress of the ongoing bilateral projects in Moldova, specifically in the modernization of railway infrastructure, the promotion of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and the establishment of mutual energy resource supplies.
Additionally, they discussed other fuel and energy-related as well as logistics projects that are currently in progress.
Furthermore, Aidarbekov briefed the minister on political, democratic, and constitutional reforms in Kazakhstan initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also discussed economic priorities, investment cooperation, and Kazakhstan's trade and economic relations with European countries, emphasizing the importance of the partnership with Moldova in this regard.
Parlicov, on his part, expressed a positive view of the political and socio-economic changes taking place in Kazakhstan and confirmed the readiness to advance partnership in the energy sector, which currently has significant untapped potential. He also elaborated on his agency's priorities in detail.
