ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 17. The National Bank of Kazakhstan has published data on inflationary trends in the regions of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

Annual inflation in the country slowed down, amounting to 14 percent in July 2023 (14.6 percent in June), and annual inflation also slowed in all 20 regions.

In addition, the highest values of annual inflation were recorded in Astana, North Kazakhstan, and Ulytau regions.

Food prices in July slowed to 13.5 percent year-on-year (from 14.6 percent in June). The maximum increase in prices for goods was in the Ulytau region (16.9 percent), and the minimum was in the Atyrau region (11.3 percent).

The growth rate of prices for non-food products slowed to 15 percent year-on-year (in June, 15.8 percent). The maximum value was recorded in Astana (19.6 percent), and the minimum in the Ulytau region (11.6 percent).

In addition, prices for paid services in July rose to 13.6 percent year-on-year (from 13.3 percent in June), while prices rose significantly above the national level in the Ulytau region (17.5 percent) and significantly lower in the Abai region (10.1 percent).

In general, the growth of monthly inflation in the country amounted to 0.6 percent in July 2023.
