BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Lithuanian enterprises—members of the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists—supply a very wide range of goods and services to Kazakhstan, Romas Austinskas, Vice President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (co-chairman of the Lithuanian-Kazakhstan Business Council), told Trend.

As he noted, Lithuanian enterprises supply Kazakhstan with dairy, flour, and fish products; food additives, medicines, and medical products; industrial technologies, equipment, and engineering products, including GPS trackers and other control devices for vehicles; automobile compressors; agricultural equipment; equipment for electrical networks; furniture; and textile products.

"The list also includes the design and construction of municipal water supply facilities, wastewater treatment equipment, and heating boilers; IT products for various sectors—energy, utilities, and banking; training of students and specialists; and transport and logistics services,"

Austinskas also spoke about the attractiveness of the Kazakh market for Lithuanian business.

"Kazakhstan is attractive with a relatively large local and regional market, a rapidly growing economy, qualified specialists, highly developed infrastructure, availability of raw materials and materials needed for industry, a central geographical location in the region, transit opportunities, and opportunities to attract Kazakh qualified specialists to work in Lithuania and other European countries. And most importantly, the responsiveness and desire of Kazakh business partners to develop connections and mutually beneficial business with Lithuanian entrepreneurs," he added.

Since 2017, Lithuania has been among the ten largest trading partners of Kazakhstan in the EU countries and among the thirty largest partners in the world. According to the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, Kazakhstan is Lithuania's 15th largest trading partner.
