Kazakhstan's parliament passes changes in migration law

(gazeta.kz) - Deputies of the senate have approved the draft law "On changes and amendments in several legislative acts on regulation of migration processes" today, December 28, at a plenary meeting of the chamber.

Therefore the law is considered to be adopted and it is forwarded to the head of state for signing, reports Trend.

The draft law suggests administrative responsibility for foreigners and persons without citizenship, permanently residing in Kazakhstan without ID documents, or with invalid documents.

The administrative responsibility is also provided for citizens of Kazakhstan, assist such breaches.

The introduced changes extend the list of grounds on which the right for permanent residence can be declined to the foreigners in RK. Besides, the entry of foreign citizens previously expelled from the country is banned for 5 years. The draft law also provides a duty for foreign citizens entering RK to obtain migration cards.
