BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran, Turdakun Sydykov met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Mehdi Safari, to discuss prospects for expanding economic cooperation, Trend reports via Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The parties noted the importance of taking advantages of existing potential in order to expand trade volume between Kyrgyzstan and Iran, and the need to establish joint ventures in areas of mutual interest.
Sydykov proposed to increase the volume of supplies of agricultural products, including meat, beans, cotton fiber from Kyrgyzstan to Iran in order to promote the export products of Kyrgyzstan to the Iranian market.
Furthermore, the both sides also agreed to help facilitate in holding the 13th meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Iranian intergovernmental commission in 2022 in Bishkek.
