BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Kyrgyzstan increased the volume of coal production in June 2022, Trend reports with reference to the akchabar.kg.
According to the statistics, coal mining in Kyrgyzstan in the reporting month amounted to 55,800 tons, which is an increase of 87.9 percent compared to the May 2022 (29,700 tons).
However, the volume of Kyrgyzstan's coal extraction in the first half of 2022 decreased by 7.2 percent compared to the same period of last year - up to 250,500 tons.
Kyrgyzstan from March 2022 also began supplying coal to China, Georgia, Latvia and the Czech Republic.
Earlier, at the end of July this year, representatives of "Kyrgyzkomur" and Uzbekistan's "Uzbekcoal" companies agreed to develop cooperation in coal mining.
