BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. The value of Kyrgyzstan's exports to Russia significantly increased in the first half of this year, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 exported to Russia goods worth $362.2 million, which is an increase of 91.8 percent, compared to the same period of last year ($188.8 million).

According to the committee, the main goods exported by Kyrgyzstan to Russia in the reporting period were:

- clothing ($87.3 million);

- copper ($51.6 million);

- shoes ($34.5 million);

- fruits and nuts ($17.9 million);

- vegetables ($16.1 million);

- dried fruits ($12.8 million).

Meanwhile, Russia's exports to Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022 totaled $1 billion, which is 19.7 percent more than in the corresponding period of last year ($835.1 million).

Thus, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the reporting period amounted to $1.4 billion, which is an increase of 40 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($1 billion).
