BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2022 exported products to Russia worth $395.5 million, which is an increase of 87.7 percent over the same period in 2021 ($210.7 million), Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Committee, the main exported goods from Kyrgyzstan to Russia in the first 7 months of 2022 were:
- garments ($92.9 million);
- copper and products from it - ($53.5 million);
- shoes ($36 million);
- fittings and fasteners made of non-precious metals ($25.3 million);
- fruits and nuts ($23.5 million).
During the reporting period, Russia became the main market for Kyrgyz products, whilst Kazakhstan ($270.7 million) ranked second, followed by Uzbekistan ($118.6 million).
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the first 7 months of this year increased by 41.6 percent over the same period in 2021 ($1.2 billion) - up to $1.7 billion.
