BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. The value of Kyrgyzstan's dried fruit exports substantially increased from January through November 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to statistical data, Kyrgyzstan exported dried fruits worth $32 million in 11 months of 2022, which is 2.3 times higher than in the same period of 2021 ($13.8 million).

During the reporting period, Russia became the main market for Kyrgyz dried fruit exports with imports ($28 million), followed by Kazakhstan ($1.7 million) and Germany ($1.6 million).

There are potential opportunities for Kyrgyz exporters to increase exports of dried fruits to the EU. For instance, this month Kyrgyzstan's Sun Planet Organic, a producer of organic certified products, announced that the company this year will increase exports of nuts and dried fruits to Germany by more than 30 percent compared to 2022.

Meanwhile, the production of dried fruits is being carried out in Kyrgyzstan by a total of 24 enterprises and 43 individual entrepreneurs, according to Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Agriculture.
