BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. Kyrgyzstan exported 3,025 tons of raw aluminum for 6.1 million in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, the figure decreased by almost 40 percent this year, compared to the 4,970 tons for $9 million in 2021.

In the reporting period, the main buyer of Kyrgyzstan’s raw aluminum was Uzbekistan - 2,147 tons for $4.3 million. This is a slight decrease from 2,163 tons for $3.8 million in 2021.

Notably, exports of raw aluminum from Kyrgyzstan to China decreased by almost 68 percent in 2022 - from 1,174 tons for $3 million in 2021, to 525 tons for $1.1 million last year.

Additionally, last year, Kyrgyzstan exported 287 tons of raw aluminum for $574,900 to Türkiye, which is a decline of 63 percent from 2021 (789 tons for 1.3 million), as well as some 65 tons of raw aluminum for $132,800 to Kazakhstan, which is a decline of almost 85 percent from 2021 (393 tons for $796,900 in 2021).

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan’s imports of raw aluminum amounted to 500 kg for $2,700 in 2022. The sole supplier of that metal to Kyrgyzstan in that period was Russia.
