BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Kyrgyzstan imported 82 kg of gold from January through February 2023, with Kazakhstan being the sole gold supplier to the country, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The volume of the imports increased by 1 percent year-on-year (81 kg from January through February 2022), the committee said.
During the period under review, the value of the imports exceeded $4.6 million, which is 7.1 percent more than in the first months of 2022 ($4.3 million).
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 19.8 kg of silver for $1.7 million from Russia from January through February 2023.
Meanwhile, according to statistics, there were no export deliveries of silver to Kyrgyzstan in the corresponding period of 2022.
The value of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover made up $1.7 billion from January through February 2023, which is a 22.7-percent increase year-on-year ($1.3 billion in the same period of 2023).
Kyrgyzstan’s exports exceed $255.6 million, which is 2 percent more than $250.2 million in the corresponding months of 2022.
The imports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $1.4 billion, which is a growth of 27.2 percent year-on-year ($1.1 billion from January through February 2022).
