BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The insurance companies of Kyrgyzstan have conducted 315,000 insurance contracts in 2022, which is 18.4 percent more than in 2021, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, a total of 87.5 percent of the concluded contracts fell on contracts with individuals.

Voluntary insurance accounted for almost 59 percent of the total number of concluded contracts. Of it, personal insurance accounted for 79 percent, property insurance – for 16 percent and liability insurance – for 5 percent.

The amount of money under the conducted contracts amounted to 1.3 billion soms ($14.8 million) last year, which is an increase of 41.4 percent compared to 2021.

The largest increase in terms of value was noted under contracts of voluntary liability insurance and personal tourism insurance.

Furthermore, a total of 7,700 insurance claims were registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, of which 51 percent accounted for voluntary personal health insurance.

In the total amount of insurance payments, 52.6 percent accounted for voluntary property insurance and 22 percent - for personal health insurance.

According to the statistics, 15 insurance companies operated throughout the country last year.
