BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. The investors from South Korea will provide money for the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant in Kyrgyzstan’s Kochkor district in the Naryn region, Trend reports with reference to the office of the plenipotentiary representative of Kyrgyz president in the region.
The agreement on the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant has been signed between the head of the Kochkor district and the South Korean delegation, following the working visit of the delegation from Inje County in Gangwon province of South Korea to Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the visit, the Korean representatives got acquainted with the place for the construction of the hydroelectric power station and the region’s farmland.
Furthermore, the sides agreed to exchange of experience in the field of agriculture.
The development of bilateral cooperation with South Korea is one of the main priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy.
South Korea assists Kyrgyzstan in a wide range of projects in various fields such as public administration, agriculture, digitalization, healthcare and regional development.
According to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, the country is interested in a wider presence of Korean business in such areas as digitalization, hydropower, industry, mining and textile.
