BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Kyrgyzstan exported 110,961 tons of cement from January through March 2023, Trend reports.
Kyrgyz data shows that cement was exported only to Uzbekistan. The supply increased by 5.3 percent compared to 105,404 tons on 1Q2022.
On the contrary, the value of the exports decreased by 0.5 percent, reaching $4.024 million, which is less than $4.043 in the corresponding timeframe of 2022.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 34,705 tons of cement in the first quarter of 2023, recording an 11-percent drop year-on-year. The value of the imports totaled $2.049 million, which is 3.6 percent more than in the identical time span of 2022.
During the period under review, Kyrgyzstan imported cement predominantly from Kazakhstan - 34,368 tons worth $2.008 million.
Some insignificant amount of cement, 337 tons, was imported from Iran, with the value amounting to $40,500.
Some 751,900 tons of cement were produced in Kyrgyzstan from January through April 2023, increasing by 10.4 percent compared to the same period of 2022 (681,200 tons).
