BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland amounted to $80.7 million, making 2.1 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the figure increased 51.4 times compared to $1.5 million recorded in the same months of 2022.
The most notable surge was observed in Kyrgyzstan's export deliveries to Switzerland, constituting 12.7 percent of the country's overall exports.
The export's value reached $78.2 million, marking a remarkable growth of 280 times compared to $279,100 recorded from January through April 2022.
The import from Switzerland accounted for 0.1 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s imports and equaled $2.5 million. The figure increased 97.2 percent compared to $1.2 million in the corresponding period of 2022.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the European countries amounted to $433.1 million from January through April 2023, increasing 2.9 times compared to $145.4 million in the same period of 2022.
Export from Kyrgyzstan to European countries equaled $96.6 million, or 15.7 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total export. This figure increased 3.6 times compared to the $26.4 million in January through April 2022.
Imports from European countries to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $336.5 million during the specified period, which is 2.8 times more than $119 million recorded in the corresponding months of 2022.
