BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 18. An amount of 845.8 million soms ($9.5 million) has been allocated to the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan from the republican budget in the first half of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Finance, this allocation includes 500 million soms ($5.6 million) designated for the development program of the Batken region.
The loans provided to entrepreneurs, intended to compensate business entities in the region for damages, amounted to 90.2 million soms ($1 million).
Furthermore, a sum of 255.6 million soms ($2.8 million) was allocated to the region as part of intergovernmental transfers funded by the republican budget.
According to Ministry of Finance of the country, the republican budget received a cumulative revenue of 160.2 billion soms ($1.8 billion) from January through June 2023.
The plan has been exceeded by 12.3 billion soms ($139.3 million). In comparison to the previous year, revenues have grown by 31.3 percent or 38.2 billion soms ($432.7 million).
