BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 7. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland amounted to $257.861 million from January through June 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan indicates that this figure represents a significant increase of over 100 times compared to the same period in 2022 ($2.417 million). Trade with Switzerland accounted for 3.8 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total trade turnover.
Kyrgyzstan's exports to Switzerland totaled $250.197 million, increasing more than 700 times compared to $320,200 in the same months of 2022.
Imports from Switzerland to Kyrgyzstan reached $7.663 million, up by 3.6 times compared to $2.097 million from January through June 2022.
In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $6.7 billion, which is an increase of 31 percent compared to the first half of 2022 ($5.1 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $1.306 billion, which is a 34.6 percent increase over $970.5 million recorded in the first half of 2022.
The country's imports amounted to $5.398 billion, up by 30.3 percent compared to the same months of the previous year ($4.142 billion).
