BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 24. Kyrgyzstan imported 322,175 tons of oil products from January through May 2024, valued at $371.467 million, Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee shows that the volume of oil product imports increased by 84.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 (174,760 tons). The value of these imports rose by 2.7 times, up from $133.892 million in January–May 2023.

To note, Kyrgyzstan foreign trade turnover reached $6.488 billion in the first five months of 2024, which is an 18.6 percent increase compared to January–May 2023.
Exports totaled $1.046 billion, a 4.8 percent rise from January–May 2023. Imports increased by 21.7 percent year-on-year, reaching $5.442 billion.
