BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide financing to support micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Tajikistan, Trend reports via Tajik media outlets.

Within the framework of this initiative, the EBRD will allocate $2 million to Tajik Micro Loan Fund "Humo" for building resilience of domestic micro and small enterprises and creation of new jobs.

"Humo" will join forces with a local vocational school to provide certified computer training to 240 women.

“Training will help them access information technology skills it will also help solve the problem of computer literacy that affects all Central Asian states,” the message said.

"Humo" is already on the microcredit market for ten years and is one of the leading microfinance institutions in Tajikistan.

To date, the EBRD has invested 958 million euros through 155 projects in Tajikistan’s economy.
