BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Tajikistan's fixed capital investments amounted to more than 2 billion somoni ($183 million) from January through February 2023, according to the Agency on Statistics under President of Tajikistan, Trend reports via Tajik media.

According to statistics, the figure is 4.6 percent more than in the same period of 2022.

During the reporting period, the investments in production facilities amounted to 1.2 billion somoni ($109 million) and accounted for 60.3 percent of the total investment volume.

The investments in non-production facilities amounted to 806.3 million somoni ($73.8 million) or 39.7 percent of the total investment volume.

The investments in the construction of power facilities totaled 727.2 million somoni ($66.6 million), decreasing by 22 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the fixed capital investments in the transport and communication sector of Tajikistan reached 376.2 million somoni ($34.4 million).

Earlier, summing up the economic results of 2022, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, said that the volume of the foreign direct investments to Tajikistan increased by 1.9 times last year.
