Tajikistan's imports from Georgia via road, rail transport increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Tajikistan witnessed a fourfold year-on-year growth in its imports from Georgia via road transport from January through May 2023, Trend reports.

The value of Tajikistan's imports from Georgia by road transport reached $15.228 million, while in the corresponding months of 2022 it amounted to $3.763 million. The majority of goods imported by Tajikistan from Georgia were transported by road transport.

Furthermore, Tajikistan also recorded an increase in goods delivered from Georgia through rail transport, amounting to $746,630. This indicator is 2.7 times more than $269,220 recorded from January through May 2022.

Additionally, Tajikistan imported goods from Georgia for $156,020 via air transport, which is 1.7 times less compared to the $269,220 in the same period of 2022.

Tajikistan's imports from Georgia from January through May 2023 equaled $16.131 million, which is 3.8 times more than in the same months of 2022.

Tajikistan’s exports to Georgia amounted to $36,033, which is 1.9 times lower compared to $71,950 from January through May 2022.
