DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 25. The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia amounted to $25.583 million from January through August 2023, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period of 2022 ($10.006), Trend reports.
Data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) shows that Tajikistan's imports from Georgia reached $25.544 million, which is 2.6 times higher than in the same months of 2022 ($9.810 million).
Tajikistan's exports to Georgia totaled $38,930, which is a 5-times decrease compared to January–August 2022 ($196,130).
The trade turnover between the countries in August 2023 amounted to $3.413 million, which is an increase of 1.5 times year-on-year ($2.142 million in August 2022).
Tajikistan and Georgia's total trade turnover reached $22.9 million in 2022, which is 1.8 times greater than the $12.5 million registered in 2021.
Tajikistan's imports from Georgia totaled $22.6 million, increasing 1.8 times compared to $12.4 million in 2021. The country's exports to Georgia in 2022 totaled $304,250, up by 5.7 times over the $53,170 recorded in 2021.
