DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 27. A brick manufacturing plant has been inaugurated in Vahdat city of Tajikistan, Trend reports.

This new facility was built by domestic entrepreneurs as part of the "Development of Industry Years 2022-2026" initiative. The plant's inauguration was officiated by President Emomali Rahmon.

The total area of the brick manufacturing facility covers 3 hectares, including a 1.8-hectare quarry. Situated alongside the "Dushanbe-Vahdat" highway on the slopes of a mountain, the plant has provided employment to 30 local residents.

The production capacity of the plant is 30,000 bricks per day and 900,000 fired bricks per month, with an annual output of 5 million fired bricks. To ensure the high-quality production of construction materials, modern equipment from China has been imported, which is fully operated by Tajik specialists.

According to statistics, there are currently 149 brick manufacturing plants operating in the republic, including 27 in the Khatlon region, 54 in the Sughd region, 63 in cities and districts under the republic's jurisdiction, 1 in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, and 4 in Dushanbe.
