DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 14. The UN World Food Programme (WFP) will provide financial support to 15,000 vulnerable families in Tajikistan in 2024 and 2025, Trend reports.
According to the WFP, this was made possible by $7 million in funding provided by the US Agency for International Development.
For example, in 2024 and 2025, WFP will support about 15,000 households by transferring funds to them in exchange for the efforts of these families to create their own production assets.
For example, this may be work on the development of agricultural land.
Such assets are designed to increase the financial stability of more than 24,000 households, or a total of 120,000 residents of Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, the program will be able to meet the needs of people for whom the issue of malnutrition is particularly acute, and at the same time provide them with the opportunity to provide themselves with food in the future.
