President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov has signed a decree on new appointments in the government.
Guncha Mammadova has been appointed as Deputy Culture Minister, who earlier was deputy governor of the Mary region on the education, culture, health and sports.
Geldi Sariyev has been appointed as Deputy Finance Minister of Turkmenistan.
The Culture Ministry was established in late October based on the Turkmen Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting abolished by the decree. The document on the establishment of the ministry says that it is done "to further improve and enhance the efficiency of cultural institutions' activity".
Turkmen Finance Ministry was reorganized in 2008. This ministry deals with development and implementation of public policy and legal regulation in the financial, budgetary, tax, insurance, auditing, accounting and financial reporting spheres.
