Some 11,029 tons of cotton yarn have been exported from Turkmenistan since the beginning of this year, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan.
According to the information, Turkmenistan since the beginning of 2021 exported cotton yarn for a total of $37.5 million
It is noted that Turkmen cotton yarn is in great demand in the UK, Germany, Italy, Turkey, and a number of other countries.
In addition, the export of licorice root and various products from them is also growing in the country. Thus, since the beginning of 2021, foreign entrepreneurs have purchased 672 tons of dry extract of licorice root in the amount of $3.8 million and 44 tons of dried unpeeled root and rhizome of licorice in the amount of $30,502.
Also, during the reporting period, 20,063 tons of M500 Portland cement were exported for a total amount of $1.2 million dollars and 972 tons of non-distilled fatty acids of cottonseed oil soap stock in the amount of $395,763.
