Turkmen sewing factory ramps up production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Cheper sewing factory located in the Turkmen city of Dashoguz manufactured products worth 4.5 million Turkmen manats ($1.2 million) from January through May 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.

Thus, the sewing factory exceeded the production plan by 2.3 percent.

The main part of the factory's products is workwear, clothing for children, as well as military uniforms.

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.

In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
