BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 3. The total volume of non-cash payments via terminals for2022 amounted to 13.8 billion Turkmen manats ($3.93 billion) in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

During the specified period, the total amount of non-cash payments through ATMs amounted to 276.7 million Turkmen manats ($78.9 million), which is 27.4 percent more than in 2021 (217.1 million Turkmen manats or $61.9 million).

Non-cash turnover on bank cards for 2022 amounted to 14.74 billion Turkmen manats ($4.22 billion).

Meanwhile, the total volume of non-cash payments through terminals in Turkmenistan in 2021 amounted to 10.8 Turkmen manats ($3.08 million), which is 27.7 percent less than last year.

The country's financial sector is constantly expanding. In particular, mobile applications are being introduced to pay for various services and goods, the number of non-cash payments is increasing, and payment for goods and services is being implemented through bank terminals.
