BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning Factory located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has produced cotton yarn worth 10.6 million Turkmen manats ($3.1 million) since the beginning of this year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the reporting period, the production plan of the factory was exceeded by 4 percent.
Furthermore, the enterprise exported 120 tons of cotton yarn worth 1.7 million Turkmen manats ($506,700) to Türkiye and Russia.
Instead of the planned 38 million Turkmen manats ($11.3 million) last year, the factory produced cotton yarn for 49.4 million Turkmen manats ($14.7 million).
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises.
