BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. Businessmen from UAE, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan purchased road bitumen from Turkmen production during trading on April 1 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the exchange.
Entrepreneurs from UAE purchased 8,000 tons of road bitumen on the exchange at a price of $240 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $1.9 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on April 3, entrepreneurs from China and UAE purchased 2,000 tons of unpeeled dried licorice roots in the amount of $1 million.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
