BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. Businessmen from Uzbekistan purchased road bitumen from Turkmen production during trading on April 8 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the exchange.
Entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan purchased 2,000 tons of road bitumen on the exchange at a price of $240 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $480,000.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on April 3, entrepreneurs from Ireland and Türkiye purchased 21 tons of cotton yarn in the amount of $96,000.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
