ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 7. The Turkmenabat garment factory, located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan, manufactured products worth 38.3 million Turkmen manat (almost $11 million) from January through September this year, Trend reports.
During the specified period, the enterprise produced garments by 22.9 percent, or 7.14 million Turkmen manat ($2.04 million) more than the planned volume.
The planned production plan of the garment factory for the whole of this year is about 41.66 million Turkmen manat ($11.9 million).
In general, over the past year, the garment factory produced products worth more than 52.2 million Turkmen manat ($14.9 million), exceeding the plan by 47.2 percent or 16.7 million Turkmen manat ($4.7 million).
The primary focus of the factory's production lies in manufacturing uniforms for the military, in addition to creating clothing for both children and adults.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan intends to earmark in excess of $300 million for the execution of over 30 textile industry projects by the year 2025.
