ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 8. Capital investments of the Lebap region located in the east of Turkmenistan from January through October this year amounted to 331 million Turkmen manat ($94.4 million), Trend reports.

During the specified period, the region successfully exceeded the planned volume of capital investments by 41.2 percent, despite the fact that the plan provided for capital investments in the amount of 234.3 million Turkmen manat ($66.88 million).

Furthermore, 116.8 million Turkmen manat ($33.34 million) were allocated for the construction of residential buildings in the region this year, 78.9 million Turkmen manat ($22.52 million) for secondary schools, 66.7 million Turkmen manat ($19 million) for hospitals and sanatoriums, 27.4 million Turkmen manat ($7.8 million) for water supply and sewerage systems.

These capital investments were made within the framework of the national program of the President of Turkmenistan on reforming the living conditions of the population of villages and urban-type settlements for the period up to 2028.

At the same time, within the framework of the rural national program, 66,600 square meters of private residential buildings with all amenities were built in the region in the last months of this year.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is focusing its efforts on economic development through capital investments, implementing large-scale projects in various sectors.

The construction of infrastructure, energy facilities and industrial enterprises, as well as the modernization of the transport system and the social sphere are key priorities of the country.
