(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov received Sheikh Khaled Bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar yesterday.
According to the State news agency (TDH), during the meeting the sides expressed satisfaction with high level interstate relations based on traditional ties of friendship between two brotherly peoples. Speaking about prospects for further cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres, the head of Turkmenistan and the representative of the ruling Qatari dynasty agreed that there was huge potential for mutually beneficial cooperation and mutual desire to realize it in an efficient way, reports Trend.
As a frequent visitor, Sheikh Khaled Bin Hamad Al-Thani said he could witness transformations and successes achieved by Turkmenistan over 15 years of independent development, the TDH reports.
