The agro-industrial system of Uzbekistan set the goal of rational use of available land resources, increasing productivity and exporting top quality products,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
In 2019 the government of Uzbekistan approved the procedure for invalidating low-yielding orchards and vineyards. In 2022, 467 hectares of economically inefficient, low-profitable or unsuitable for further cultivation areas are planned to be liquidated in the country’s Samarkand region.
Currently, work is underway to identify economically inefficient agricultural lands in the regions of Uzbekistan.
