BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. Uzbekistan exported 3.5 million pairs of shoes worth $5.5 million to 12 countries from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Footwear exports decreased by 990,639 pairs compared to the same period last year.
The biggest amount of footwear was exported from the country’s Andijan region, which amounted to $2 million, followed by the Samarkand region ($1.8 million) and Fergana region ($1.1 million).
During this period, most of the footwear was exported to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of 2.5 million pairs, followed by Tajikistan (598,246 pairs), Kazakhstan (291,345 pairs), Russia (77,373 pairs).
